Share links and notifications can be sent with watermarks for an extra level of security.
To enable watermarks for both share links and notifications:
- Navigate to IT Settings -> Security
- Scroll down to the Share Link Watermarking section
- Choose the required setting
| Setting | Definition |
|---|---|
| On | Any new share link or notification must have a watermark |
| Off | No new share links or notifications will have a watermark |
| Optional | When creating a new share link or sending a notification, the user will have the option to add a watermark |
There are different types of watermarks depending on whether sharing via a share link or sending a notification.
Sharing via a Link
When creating a share link, and the global watermark setting is set to Optional, there are three different types of watermark to choose from:
- Custom Text - this can be enabled regardless of whether share link tracking is enabled
- None - this setting does not appear when the global watermark setting is set to On
- Viewer Email - when share link tracking is on, the watermark can be the share link viewer's email
Sending a Notification
As notifications are sent to subscribers, and the subscriber must have an email address, watermarks are always the viewer's email.
