A legal entity requires the following information on creation:
- A name
- A group owner - this is usually set as "default" unless actively using the group functionality
- Available groups - if there is more than one group in the system
There are a number of other fields that are optional, which are:
- A legal identifier
- An address
- Notes
- A country code
- A company code
These optional fields can be turned on/off at an organisation level as well as at legal entity level. For more information, see Legal Entity Field Settings.
Legal entities can be uploaded using the Import CSV function, and can be downloaded using the Export CSV function.
